SMS Privacy Policy

Cork Methodist Church, doing business as The Hope Community, respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle information connected with The Hope Community's text messaging program.

Information we collect and use

We may collect your name, mobile phone number, messaging consent, communication preferences, and the messages you exchange with our staff. We use this information to provide church updates, event reminders, volunteer coordination, pastoral follow-up, and direct responses that you requested; maintain communication history; honor opt-in and opt-out choices; prevent misuse; and meet legal and carrier requirements.

How information is shared

We do not sell mobile information. We do not share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may provide information to service providers such as messaging, hosting, and security vendors only as needed to operate the program, protect the service, or comply with law. Those providers may use the information only to perform services for us.

Your choices

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP. After opting out, you may receive one confirmation message. Reply HELP for help. You may also contact The Hope Community at pastor@thehopecommunity.org or (813) 704-4873.

Retention and security

We retain communication records only as long as reasonably needed for ministry operations, safety, legal compliance, and the purposes described here. We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information, but no electronic service can guarantee absolute security.

You may ask us to correct your contact information or communication preferences by contacting pastor@thehopecommunity.org. This policy may be updated as our program or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the latest version.
